Director Profile: Terry Lautner
Terry Lautner
Director-At-Large
Senior Vice President
I am president of the Cherryland Electric Board of Directors and a Leelanau County native.
I own and operate a dairy farm in Leelanau County with my wife Cathy. We have three children - Andy, Julie and Erich.
I am a graduate of Michigan State University. Previously, I have also served as chairman of the Wolverine Power Cooperative board and as a director of the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association. I am also active in the Michigan Milk Producers Association and the Northwest Michigan Farm Bureau.
My focus on the Cherryland Electric board will continue to be providing reliable electric service at competitive prices, with outstanding customer service.
As a Cherryland representative on Wolverine’s board, I played a key role in the formulation of strategy in our transmission case before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The successful conclusion of this case will result in actual transmission savings to our Cherryland customers of $1.7 million per year.
I have appreciated your support in the past and hope you will support me in my efforts to make continuous improvements in our electric utility. Thank you.
