Residential Refrigerator Recycling Program
Objective
The objective of the Residential Refrigerator Recycling Program is to produce cost-effective, long-term annual energy savings and demand reduction by removing from the utility grid operable, inefficient appliances in an environmentally safe manner and to prevent those appliances from being resold in the secondary used appliance market. In addition the program will be designed to raise awareness of ENERGY STAR appliances and how much those appliances can save customers and educate customers on the cost of keeping an inefficient unit in operation.
Eligibility
You must be a Cherryland Electric Cooperative Member
The refrigerator / freezer must be in working – cooling – condition
The refrigerator / freezer must be 14 to 27 cubic feet in size
You must own the appliance being recycled
Rebate
Single family homes will receive $50 for each appliance, for a maximum of two appliances per year. Pick up is free.
Limited Offer
Funding is limited
Only Cherryland Electric Cooperative members are eligible on a first come, first serve basis
Cherryland Electric Cooperative reserves the right to deny payment of an appliance rebate for any appliance, qualifying or not, for any reason
