More than 1,700 vote in Cherryland’s Annual Elections
To mark its 70th anniversary, Cherryland held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 11 at Wuerfel Park, home of the Traverse City Beach Bums minor league baseball team.
The Beach Bums are also Cherryland Electric Cooperative members.
Between mail-in votes and those votes cast at the meeting, more than 1,700 members voted. Some 800 members turned out for the Annual Meeting, which turned out to be a 1-0 Beach Bums victory in 11 innings.
The business meeting included elections for the board of directors. Elected to the board were incumbents Tom Van Pelt and Rick Deneweth.
