‘Green Loans’ Will Benefit Cherryland Members
Cherryland Electric Cooperative members who want to make “green” home improvements after an on-site audit, now have a place to turn for loans.

Cherryland is partnering with Members Credit Union to give members an option on how to finance their “green” home improvement.

Under the new statewide energy optimization program, Cherryland members will have the opportunity to have home energy audits. If a member wants to make needed “green” improvements after the audit and don’t have the funds, they can apply for a loan at Members Credit Union.

The credit union is offering the “Save Green Loan” to increase energy efficiency for homeowners and help them save money while they help the environment.

How does a Cherryland member go about getting a “Save Green Loan?” Simply contact Cherryland and request a Home Energy Audit. After the audit is completed, members take their audit results and an estimate from a contractor or supplier to Members Credit Union. Apply for the “Save Green Loan” and begin upgrading your home.

Members Credit Union will furnish details on the loans and their affordable rates. Members can check the credit union’s website at www.memberscu.com for the current “Save Green Loan” rates. Rates will also be available at Members Credit Union branches.
