Open Spot On Your Co-op’s Board
There is an opening on Cherryland Electric Cooperative’s seven-person board of directors.
Jack Pope, a board member since 2002 representing Benzie, Wexford and Manistee counties, has announced he is stepping down before the end of the year.
Applications to fill Pope’s seat will be taken through Oct. 30. Interested applicants must be Cherryland members and have their primary residence in Benzie, Wexford or Manistee County.
The applications should consist of a cover letter and resume and be sent to the attention of Pat Barone at Cherryland Electric Cooperative, P.O. Box 298, Grawn, MI 49637.
The letters and resumés will be reviewed in November and finalists will be invited to a personal interview with the Cherryland board prior to Nov. 30. The board appointment will be effective at the Dec. 21 board meeting.
The individual selected will be required to run for reelection at the 2010 Annual Meeting.
