Cherryland helps Interlochen couple
When an Interlochen man and his wife who are Cherryland Electric Cooperative members had their TV, computer and appliances destroyed recently, they didn’t know where to turn.
After all, the man had just been laid off from his job and they had no renter’s insurance to cover the items that were “fried” after a recent storm.
Cherryland lineman Glenn Bennetts was on hand to help restore electricity at the couple’s trailer and came back to the cooperative and asked if we could be of assistance.
A few days later, Cherryland met with the man and presented him with a check for $500 to get the essential appliances that would help them get back on their feet.
“Cherryland didn’t have to do this, but the fact they stepped up to help us when we really need help is something we’ll never forget,” said the man.
